Summer break

Image
Good morning friends how's everyone enjoying summer break?! This week was good, with a lot more little successes than the last week which makes things more hopeful. We have Blanca and Alison on date now too! They are a part member family, where the other half of the family was baptized before the pandemic and since then, the 2 nonmembers have been the driving force to get them back to church and reading the Book of Mormon everyday, but never felt like baptism was for them. After reading a chapter of the Book of Mormon, everything clicked in their heads and they basically asked to be baptized, but they have some problemitas, so please pray for those guys. Our homie Ariel has also been progressing slowly but surely. He reads the Book of Mormon everyday and believes that it's true, but it's hard for him to accept the other things that have come from modern day revelation. We are confident that he is going to see a miracle in his own life as he keeps searching for answers. So...

What's good guys? This week was a grindy one. We are finally getting to the point where we have several people to teach, but still a large chunk of our time is spent trying to find new people that will actually progress. But we are staying happy and seeing miracles. One of those miracles is from Ariel Lopez. This guy has been taught by missionaries for a long sec. He understands everything, but he has a hard time accepting things that come from modern revelation. He was baptized as a catholic like everyone and their dog here, but came to realize that that church isn't the true one. Then he arrived to the Adventists. Well now he is still searching for the truth, but has some deepest beliefs from the Adventists. This last week we had a lesson with him and we prayed to know who should accompany us. This name came to mind of a newish convert. He's a good friend of ours, but we had never heard his story about his conversion, but he felt right so we invited him. Turns out our f...

What's up everyone! Happy mothers day yesterday! This week we had transfers and my time in the cold had come to an end. I truly love Potosí, and it was very nice to me. I said bye to all the homies and now we are off and running in Cochabamba again in Linde. It's a good little area with so much potential, and so many pregnant dogs also.  We haven't had anything super crazy go down yet, but we have a lot of guys who have listened to missionaries for a long time, but are recently starting to read the Book of Mormon, and it's been super awesome to see how that is changing their life and changing their beliefs as they come to know that it is true. Read the Book of Mormon everyday. The best book put there for sure. I quote President Nelson daily when he talked about how pur life would be without it, and he promised us some incredible things if we read it everyday. Put this prophetic promises to the test, and you'll see their divinely inspired. Have an awesome week! Eld...

What is up everyone?! How's your week been? The last week of the transfer was a week full of miracles. Not one moment passed where we didn't see a huge blessing. Last Sunday during our english class, I was looking through área book and had an inpression say, "hey, baptized 8 of your friends this week" I kinda thought it was crazy, but then in the night during weekly planning I told my companion, and we planned for that. How to get the 8 baptisms. We called it "All out week." We had already had 3 friends on date, so we just needed 5 more. Luckily, in our area, we have had so many people that love the church, just that it's sometimes hard for them to take the time to meet with us.  Monday night we met with a friend, Emily, and we invited her to be baptized on Saturday and she said accepted! Then on Tuesday we met with another family of 4, and only 3 were there. The mom began to share stories of how her oldest son, Jhoel, is a slacker and is failing in th...

What's up everyone! I hope things are good for you all! This week was a real big grind. We had days where 8 out of 8 lessons fell through so we were just walking and contacting and knocking doors and really going through it. But we kept going anyway and this week we hope to see some fruits of that work. We had en exchange this week and I was in another area with another American. We were out contacting and we had finished talking to someone and stopped on the corner to see where we were headed next when these 4 like 13 year old girls and 2 boys stopped right beside us and started to talk about us as if we didn't know spanish. Then we started to talk to them in Spanish and the freaked and ran and came back with their friends, then they were shocked and came back with their friends until there was a group of like 35 teenagers just on the corner of this street as we started to talk to them about Jesus. And some of them went to church yesterday so big dub. It pays to be a foreign...
