Finding galore

Gooood morning everyone! What is up? I hope you all had a fun little week and congrats Clayton and Clara! This week down here in Bolivia was super good. We had been needing to find new people to teach and didn't know how because knocking doors and just stopping people in the street wasn't showing any success. We sat down and brain stormed a bunch of ideas and put them to thw test this last week.  My mom was a genius and told me to bring my Kendama and if I'm not wrong she used the words "I don't know, just in case" and on Monday it came in clutch. We went and bought some suckers and took the Kendama out to the streets. We played a little game with the people in the street and contacted them and taught them in the process. It was actually super fun and we saw a lot of success there. Last week we had seen a clown in the street making balloon animals and so we decided to put our clown talents to the test and make balloon animals to gift to the kids to contact t...

Hello everyone! It's been another good week over here in Los Alamos. We had another baptism for our friend Raul. He's 14 but the dude is massive and has one of the deepest voices I've ever heard. His cousin is a RM and he progressed super quickly, and now we are working on his mom Sara.  We had kinda a cool little experience this week. On Thursday we had the baptismal interview for Raul. As we were there, our President just pulled up out of nowhere. We talked with him for a sec, then he sent me and another missionary off to play basketball to contact as he talked to my companion. We got to the cancha and there were some kids having a little practice, but we asked if we could hop in for a sec. The trainer at first wasn't too sure, but then he said, "yeah these guys are all satanic, they need Jesus." So we played with them for a quick sec and shared them a message. Their trainer wasn't about it and went to the other side of the court to help some other guy...

What's good everyone?! After just 6 weeks of being in Villa Moderna, I got pulled out and sent to Los Alamos. It turns out that I'm in the same zone as I was before so the new Villa Moderna elderes call me at least 5 times a day as they try to settle into their area. It's awesome.  This week was awesome though and it has me excited for these next couple of weeks. In Villa Moderna we saw a lot of progress with some friends, and Jorge and Mary Luz even accepted a baptismal date. On top of that, like 4 of our friends have been reading the book of Mormón daily and it's been awesome.  On friday we had transfers and Saturday we had a baptism. It was a crazy cool experience because i had met the lady that got baptized a couple months ago in a different area, we had given her a blessing, and now she has finally taken the step to be baptized! It was a really cool experience. God directs this work Elder Holdstock

Finding potentials

Helloooooo what's up guys?  How are you all? It's been a little but of an interesting week. We had days so busy that as we finished one lesson, we had another on the phone as we went to the next lesson in person, then days where it just seemed like everyone was too busy to listen to the word of God.  We are working with some very good potentials though. One is Henry Ordoñez. He has been the friend of a member for a really long time, and he was supposed to get baptized 50 Yeats ago, but his family moved and lost contact with the missionaries. He still recognizes the truth and told us he feels something different when we talk to him versus the other churches. He just has dialysis every Sunday which makes it hard to go to church. He has changed so much in the 2 weeks that we have known him. The light of christ is really working in him. We saw a miracle this week too. Victoria is the cousin of a ward missionary and has wanted to be baptized for a very long time now, but her...
