Hot Christmas

Mery Christmas everyone! And just like that's it's over again and the count down starts for next Christmas.  It was a good old Bolivian Christmas on this side of the world. We had a big Christmas party with the whole mission where we got to watch performances of skits from each zone, and got the surprise of seeing our families on the big screen because every family sent a little video saying Merry Christmas. It was so awesome. This Christmas my companion and I wanted to really follow Christ's example in showing his love for all of God's children. We decided to visit the families that are alone during the seasons or are passing through tests in their lives. To see them brighten up when the missionaries walk in their home made us remember the reason for Christmas, and that it is centered in Christ and good works. Enjoy your new toys  Elder Holdstock

What's up everyone  How goes it This week has been quite something, so many experiences that I never thought I would have as a missionary, but we were blessed in so many was to have an amazing week. We on national TV! Last Monday afternoon we got a call from our President saying basically, "Elders, we are going to be on TV tomorrow. They're going to interview us and we're going to sing." So then we rushes to try and put together a good tabernacle choir sounding choir, and we showed up with a nice choir of 16 very inexperienced singers. But we did it and it was super fun and weird. Then I guess we did it well enough because a couple days later President called us again and said "Elders, we're going to donit again, but I can't go so a 70 is going to go with you, and you have to do it with a different group of missionaries." So then we showed up with an even less experienced group and made fools of ourself, buy it was memorable.  All of that was t...

what is up everyone! this week was pretty wild and we were super busy. we got to go to PFJ which is like a little EFY type thing. we got to go teach them about the Book of Mormon and and share some time with them and it was super cool. then on sunday some that were there bore their testimonies about the power of missionaries and that all he wants to be is a missionary right now which was super cool we also saw so many miracles this week as we just gave every person the opportunity to hear the message of the restored gospel. as we finished an exchange we were walking the main avenue and on the way we met this guy who called us elders. we went to talk to him and found out that he had just moved from La Paz. long story short, we walked with him for a block to watch a baptism and is already on pace with his 3 kids to get baptized soon. the gospel is incredible. elder holdstock

What's up everyone!  This week was super awesome!  We had a día de peatón and got to go put contacting with the misión President's son who is going to Colombia, Bogota Sur which is where my companion is from and it started to rain super hard. There went from a million people in the streets, to just the select which was awesome. We were able to just keep talking to people even though it was pouring and the people wanted to hear us. It was super cool. We also met a new reference from a member who is totally getting baptized soon. His name is Patricio and he just took everything we taught and said he all makes sense. That he lived the Catholic customs his whole life out of respect for his family but never felt anything. Don't really have anything else for ya, hope everyone is balling Ah, also cut my own hair again so I'm basically a pro now Elder Holdstock
