The reference giving catholic

What's up everyone, what's poppin? I'm finally back in Cerro Rico. After like an almost 2 week hiatus of bouncing from house to house, I made it back and my companion is finally here. We have not missed a beat and just starting working so hard.  We've just truly searched for every opportunity to share the restored gospel to try and make up for our lost time and we are being so blessed for it. The other night on our way home from a lesson, this lady stopped us in the street "are you guys from the mormon church" we were like "well, yeah" and she said that she had a reference for us of a family that just moved here and started throwing out all the details. Their name, number, direction, life story and everything. My companion stopped her and said "are you a member" and she said "nope, I'm from the catholic church, but they dont like my church and they love yours, so visit them."  We didn't waste any time, and the next morni...

Homeless for a week

What's up everybody, how are we all doing?  This last week we had transfers already. Those 6 weeks flew by as if they were nothing, and I was expecting to stay with my companion for another 6 because it's his last transfer in the mission, but we got pranked and he got transfered out. We went to Cochabamba for the transfer meeting and it was crazy. A lot when down, but in the end my new companion is Elder Rodriguez from Colombia! I was shocked, mostly because I worked basically with him for like 6 months already, and now we are going to most likely have another 2 transfers together, so we are super hyped. A little bummer though is that he is the old Secretary of President and has to train the new one and he's been doing that for like 4 days now. So I've just been chilling down here in Potosí bumming from one companionship to the next. I haven't touched my area and I did not bring enough clean clothes with me :/ buy its okay I'm seeing miracles in my area even t...

Good morning to the clouds

Quite the week it has been way down here in Potosí. A week full of adventure and things we didn't plan, but that's just what a mission is so it's normal now. One of the missionaries this week went home after finishing his mission, and his companion that is finishing his training this week got sent to us. So we've been co-dads this week helping our boy Elder Calle out to learn to be a missionary. He hadn't had the best trainers, so we've been  trying to give him the 12 week training he should have got, but we've only got one week to do it. But we've seen him progress and grow so we are happy. He's inspiring honestly. The other day he celebrated 2 years of being a member. This week we saw a lot of miracles. The 3 baptisms we were supposed to have last week fell through for silly reasons, but then they just stopped answering us. This week at random moments throughout the week as we were doing our normal tasks, we felt the need to call this person or sen...

What's up everyone! This week was a toughy. Up until then every day had been so good and all the weeks have been awesome, but this week things just fell through left and right. Including those three friends that were supposed to be baptized.  Nicolas and Luciana live in Uyuni which is like 2 or 3 hours from Potosí and we aren't allowed to go there so we only teach for video calls. The day of their interview they just stopped answering the phone and their mom who is a member decided that they weren't ready and needed another week. They are like teenagers and know everything so that was a little frustrating, but they have testimonies so we know that they will get baptized soon. Mauricio is a lawyer and also has his girlfriend in the ward that has been helping us teach him. The day of his interview he sent us a message saying he had an emergency trip to Cochabamba for work and now he doesn't answer and the girlfriend didn't talk to us at all yesterday at church so wh...
