La Ultima Semana en Los Estados Unidos

I hope you're all doing well!

This last week was the last week I'll spend in the United States for a minute. Thursday morning, before its even bright and early, I head to Bolivia. After 4 flights and like 36 hours I'll be there at last. I'm so excited to be able to serve the people there as I have been able to do here in Indiana. I didn't think I'd be this sad about leaving, but through the charity and the gospel you are able to build incredible relationships really quickly. 

This week flew by so fast. It was full of walking and talking and knocking. Numerically it was not a great week, but we were able to talk to so many people and it feels like a successful week. Even though most if them aren't ready to hear the message of the restored gospel right now, hopefully their hearts were softened and are being prepared for future missionaries. 

This week was Zone Conference and the focus was on the Book of Mormon and the incredibly powerful book it is that we often times take for granted. We were challenged to use the Book of Mormon more in all our interactions and that's exactly what we did. The next cpuple days I saw the blessings of taking that challenge and using the Book of Mormon. I was able to share a verse with a man we met while street contacting and even though he's seen missionaries and known our church for a long time, he opened up about so many of the challenges he has and is facing. I hope that he will read the copy we gave him and allow us to teach him more. 

I have gained such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. It truly contains the fulness of Christ's gospel and teachings and we really can get closer to God by studying it and pondering over it daily. So make sure you're not taking this incredible book for granted!

  Hola hola a todos! This week we celebrated mothers day here in Bolivia. Mothers day is a way bigger deal and no one works, and no wants to talk to you which was an awesome day. It consisted of just walking around trying to make any kind of conversation. One guy asked if we even believe in mothers in our church. Nice one, I think he might have won that encounter  But this week was good! Our teaching pool has decreased and decreased slowly over the last couple weeks. A big point of focus has been to rebuild the teaching pool. We've been spending a lot of time finding news which is kinda what we've always been doing. I used to tener miedo to knock someone's door or talk to someone on the street in Utah in a language I spoke fluently, but now I have seen a huge transformation with the help of my loving Heavenly Father and I am not nervous for any of that in a language I'm still learning.   Hola hola a todos! I don't have a lot to write this week. We had Transfers on Friday and I got a new gringo companion! His name is Elder Diaz from Maryland and he's cool. We have the same amount of time here in Bolivia so we're going to be grinding the Spanish so that we can be a part of so much success in this great work! Something awesome before transfers happened with our family that lives in the house with the red door and red roof. I can't remember if I filled in some information on but basically that lady Virginia that we met and told us she wasn't a member ended up being a member. But! She has two nietos that live with her and we've been teaching them and they've loved it and are all ready to get baptized this Saturday. Their names are Nathaly and Johan. Nathaly just learned English by watching movies and reading books so sometimed we just talk to her in English while her little brother just sits there trying so hard to understand. It's so fun! ...

Missing in action

  What's up everyone, hope that everyone had a grand old 4th of July. We definitely had our little celebration for the country of the Restoration here, just minus the fireworks. This week though was pretty baller.  Saturday last week our first counselor had told us he had met an inactive member that was a returned missionary. We went with him to meet him and it was true. It was also true that he had an 11 year old kid who hadn't been baptized yet. Which is weird because his dad has his missionary plaque on display in his house as well as every pamphlet and missionary manual that you can imagine. The kid asked to be baptized the first time we met him, and now the family is coming back to church so that he doesn't go inactive after his baptism. That's why he hadn't been baptized yet. His dad was scared to have him baptized and never go back. We also met another inactive member that no body would have been able to find. We have a ward missionary that is incredible. Her...
