Imperfect Tools
Buenos días a todos!!
I hope that everyone is doing so good smiling and always keeping Jesus Christ and God on our minds because that is truly how we see the blessings.
These last two weeks have been so good. We have been working really hard and diligently and have seen the blessings come from it. It's been incredible to see that this work really is the Lord's work and because of that he really is helping us out every step of the way. Too many times things happen that just make no sense and shouldn't work out the way they do. There is no limit to what the Lord can do when we put our faith in Him.
An incredible experience that happened these last couple of weeks was just a couple days ago while I was on an exchange in another area with a native Bolivian. First it was so cool to see how much Spanish I actually know. The whole day we were just talking and joking and all in Spanish. I didn't even know I knew that much! Hahaha.. But what was cool was a lesson we had with a chica named Lizeth. She had been taught for a minute and just wasn't sure about baptism. Elder Chavez has only been in the mission just over a month and me with my imperfect Spanish we went in and had an incredible lesson. The spirit was so strong and in the end we were talking about the steps she needs to take to reach her goal of living with her family and God and Jesus Christ forever and we invited her to baptism and she accepted! She even wanted to say the closing prayer which was awesome because apparently she never wants to pray.
It's so cool to see how God uses these imperfect people with so many flaws like myself as an instrument to make all these amazing things happen. I have a huge testimony that this is the Lord's work and I'm a tool he's using.
I love being a missionary! I love Bolivia!
Love you all and have a great week
Con cariño
Elder Holdstock
