Bolivia Is Freezing

 Hola hola a todos!

How's everyone doing? This week has been a pretty normal week in terms of being a missionary in Bolivia, Cochabamba. I wake up in the morning at 6:25 and it is a freezing 32⁰ and sometimes colder, then we're working and mid-day we have to hide in the shade as we walk or it's just too hot to handle. It's a fun little game Bolivia likes to play with us.

The work here has been going good though. Our family of Oscar, Nely, and Elia are ready to be baptized! They just don't know when they'll be able to. With Oscar's big heart problem a few months ago, it's left them all without a job. Know that he is better and his wife Elia can leave him alone with his sister, she's always gone "en el campo" to work. Also half the people here work in "el campo" but no one knows where it is. They just point in a direction and say "por alla." They also are already ready to come to church each week because they've been making the long drive from the campo to church every week then right back to the campo after church. Keep them in your prayers so that they can find the time to make the covenant and start their process to getting to the temple.

I've been reading some other missionaries' emails and have been kinda jealous to hear about the fun things they eat. As a kid when I would talk to people about their missions the question to ask was always "what was the weirdest thing you ate?" Now I finally kinda have an a answer. This week I ate cuy which is guinea pig. On my plate kne day I just saw these two tiny feet and half a body and wasn't sure what I was getting in to, then I looked around and saw two tiny hands and a big head on the other plates. It was awesome. Also apparently you can make sausage out of fish eggs, and it doesn't make them taste better thats for sure hahah.

I finished the Book of Mormon again this week and I love that thing. The promise from Moroni at the end made me think about all the answers I have received to problems and stresses and questions and how by reading it everyday it puts me in a better mood. The Book of Mormon is true. Read it. Pray about it. It's one of the best tools that we have to help us through this wild time of life.

Con cariño
