Finding Families

What's up everyone! Woah, starting this one a little different haha

Bolivia has been a wild ride this week. The work has been good and we've always been busy teaching someone. The problem is that about 87% of the people we've been teaching over the last couple weeks don't have interest in progressing, but love to talk about "la palabra de Dios." Well this week things had changed. We went from like 2 solid people, to now 22 solid people and it makes things things much more fun.

9 of this solid people come from one huge family and we had such a gnarly experience with them. We had taught the mom and two brothers a couple weeks ago and were finally able to teach them again, this time with the entire family of like 12 people. We taught the plan of Salvation and they loved that they could live together forever. Afterwards a couple of the people were asking so many questions that the Restoration answers so we set up a time to come back the next day. In my personal study that day I just had an idea out of now where to recreate the First Vision with this family. I debated whether it would be sacrilegious or not, but in the end we went through with it. The lesson comes and we get to the first vision and we tell them we want to try something so we get two of the little kids up on a chair and the dad on his knees as Joseph Smith. We turned off all the lights and used a flashlight to slowly descend on them. As I recited the First Vision I was like woah, the spirit was so strong. After I asked the dad as Joseph Smith how he felt, and with teary eyes responded with good then said he'd do whatever the Lord asked him to do.

It was was an amazing experience. The spirit is our teacher. We just have to be in the right place and worthy so that the spirit can work through us. This family is awesome, but they have some things in the way from letting them come to church. Keep them family of Vilma in your prayers so that they can do "whatever the Lord asks them to do."

Missions are awesome, life is blessing
