I'm Finally Getting Good at Making Decisions

This week was quite and adventure full of so many slaps in the side of the face. Well not our faces, but the faces of our plans for sure. Each day we'd come up with a plan, or find a companionship to have an intercambio with, and 3 hours later we were calling the companionship de nuevo to cancel that intercambio. It really keeps the days interesting. 

One of those plans that didn't get throw at the wall was an open house of the chapel on friday. We share the ward with a companionship of hermanas so they put it all together to make it "nice and cute" and elder nóbrega and i were just out in the street gathering everyone to "ven y ve" the chapel. For the first hour we had so little success and everyone just laughed at us or we got the classic "otro momento." After an hour of maybe one person that entered, a lady was walking a block away with a bag of balloons and the balloons started to fall out of the bag and headed for the road. We ran all the way to her and helped her to gather her balloons and talked to her. Turns out she grew up going to the church with her aunts and uncles, never got baptized, and now has her own kids and was so excited to be reinvited to go with her uncles and aunts again. She was like the cork that needed to pop, then the people just started flooding into the chapel.

A lot of other fun things happened, but those will have to be saved until I'm back home. Sorry about it, but I hope everyone had a good week! Love you all

  Hola hola a todos! This week we celebrated mothers day here in Bolivia. Mothers day is a way bigger deal and no one works, and no wants to talk to you which was an awesome day. It consisted of just walking around trying to make any kind of conversation. One guy asked if we even believe in mothers in our church. Nice one, I think he might have won that encounter  But this week was good! Our teaching pool has decreased and decreased slowly over the last couple weeks. A big point of focus has been to rebuild the teaching pool. We've been spending a lot of time finding news which is kinda what we've always been doing. I used to tener miedo to knock someone's door or talk to someone on the street in Utah in a language I spoke fluently, but now I have seen a huge transformation with the help of my loving Heavenly Father and I am not nervous for any of that in a language I'm still learning.   Hola hola a todos! I don't have a lot to write this week. We had Transfers on Friday and I got a new gringo companion! His name is Elder Diaz from Maryland and he's cool. We have the same amount of time here in Bolivia so we're going to be grinding the Spanish so that we can be a part of so much success in this great work! Something awesome before transfers happened with our family that lives in the house with the red door and red roof. I can't remember if I filled in some information on but basically that lady Virginia that we met and told us she wasn't a member ended up being a member. But! She has two nietos that live with her and we've been teaching them and they've loved it and are all ready to get baptized this Saturday. Their names are Nathaly and Johan. Nathaly just learned English by watching movies and reading books so sometimed we just talk to her in English while her little brother just sits there trying so hard to understand. It's so fun! ...

Missing in action

  What's up everyone, hope that everyone had a grand old 4th of July. We definitely had our little celebration for the country of the Restoration here, just minus the fireworks. This week though was pretty baller.  Saturday last week our first counselor had told us he had met an inactive member that was a returned missionary. We went with him to meet him and it was true. It was also true that he had an 11 year old kid who hadn't been baptized yet. Which is weird because his dad has his missionary plaque on display in his house as well as every pamphlet and missionary manual that you can imagine. The kid asked to be baptized the first time we met him, and now the family is coming back to church so that he doesn't go inactive after his baptism. That's why he hadn't been baptized yet. His dad was scared to have him baptized and never go back. We also met another inactive member that no body would have been able to find. We have a ward missionary that is incredible. Her...
