My President Diagnosed me with Diabetes
Hola hola a todos!
This week was jam packed and just full of crazy stories and things I never expected to happen. I haven't written about those exchanges much, but they haven't stopped. I still just hop around from one area to the next all day everyday which is super cool. I'm getting to know a lot of places.
This week we had to go to the office one day and President asked me what was wrong with my eye. I was confused and said nothing, then told him how a couple of days ago I was going blind in an eye (more like I was just really tired and had like a blind spot) but that I'm fine now. He diagnosed with diabetes on the spot and sent me to and eye doctor to get checked out immediately. After my first ever eye appointment of my life and getting my eyes stabbed with needles, the doctor said my eyes are "casi perfectos." My President doesn't believe it and is making me wear someone's blue light glasses now jajaja
Something really cool we're doing in the mission now is that we have been challenged to study Matthew in the New Testament and to teach the life of Jesus Christ. To be honest, all of my knowledge from the Bible comes from the classic verses that are always recited in the church and everything that it shows in "The Chosen," but now I'm learning so many interesting things and my faith in Jesus Christ has grown. It's really helped to be able to use Jesus Christ's life as an example of what we need to do and why when trying to teach something to one of our friends who isn't quite on board with some things. The church is true. God lives.
