Beanie Baby
Buenoooooos díaaaaaaaas
What's up everyone and how are you all doing? The Bolivian life we're living down here has been crazy. This week was so full of amazing things. It started last monday in a family home evening with our two friends Brandon and Gabriel with this member family that is full of the coolest people ever. We had asked them about baptism before and we had them on date, but then they stopped respondong to us so their date didn't give. Well we asked them to think about another goal and Brandon said he'd been talking about it with his friend Joshua, who is the member, and wanted to set himself the goal of the 12th. We checked the calendar and saw it was Saturday and were super excited, but then remembered we were going to be in Potosí. He understood and said he didn't want to wait anymore and will send us pictures.
Two days later we headed off to Sucre where I copped myself I think the greatest beanie anyone has ever seen. On top of that I got to sleep on a Spiderman bunk bed so I don't really think my time there could have been any better. Then we hopped in a taxi and drove 3 hours to Potosí whipping through those canyon roads with the drivers mouth full of coca. Didn't worry me at all... but we arrived! Potosí is beautiful, and also ridiculously cold sometimes. And another zone was taking up all the extra beds in the zone so we got to sleep on the floor. But with my awesome beanie, the cold was too scared to attack.
We were supposed to return to Cochabamba Sunday night, but we had told our President that we had a baptism and he sent us home right after the zone conference in Potosí, en Rapidito taxi de nuevo, to get home in time. When we filled up thr font for the baptism, we got distracted by doing something also and had to leave, and when we came back the font was full, and also a couple other rooms of the church had soooo much water. Luckily Bolivia has no carpet so we just squigeed? that excess no problem. And the baptism turned out amazing! He ran to the church from his house because there are blockades (pray for bolivia) and was so excited. And almost all his family came and now were teaching his parents!
As a mission we have been studying the new testament so that "conozcamos a Jesucristo" and it's been incredible to see Christ's actions "al instante" o "enseguida" when the people come up to him to be healed or saved. When we truly have faith in Christ, not doubting and putting limits on his abilities, he can work grand miracles in our lives.
Pray for Bolivia for reals, it's a crazy time
