Refinding the lost guys
What is up everyone?
I've been having an absolute blast all the way up here in Cerro Rico, Potosí. In these past two weeks we have been pretty busy. We have been filling our days with a million things to do and each day brings a whole new experience to the missionary work.
In the past 2 weeks we have been able to help 6 of our friends accept a baptismal invitation and 3 of them will be entering the waters of baptism this week, so we are super hyped for that. We've been grinding and we are about to start seeing the fruits of these efforts.
Yesterday before Church, we had did our last hail Mary of reminding and inviting people to Come to church, and so many of them started throwing excuses. A week ago we had 15 of our friends at church and we had set a goal of 10 and were worried 2 people would show up. A grand joy that came from church is that 3 inactive families came to church. 3 families that we visited and reminded them of the joy that the gospel brings. It made me so happy, and the members too. Our average of attendance in the chapel has been 115, but yesterday we had 155 people at church. We felt very good about our efforts.
One of the inactive guys who brought his family to church that are not members this week was a bug surprise. When we met him, we were already teaching his nephew, and he came up to us contradicting what we were teaching, but in the end called us angels and the answer from God. He said he loved the church and didn't regret getting baptized, but that he left because the members weren't what they said they were. But yesterday he was able to find himself with old friends and he loved it.
Be a friend to everyone whether they are a member or not. And change the mind of those that have left the church for one reason or another.
Everyone pray for Nicolas y Luciana Cuellar, and Mauricio Medrano so they can be baptized and confirmed this week!
