 What's up everyone how are you all doing?!


This week was awesome! This week we met with a Fecabook reference named Jazmín that is the coolest person ever. A lot of bolivians, especially potosinos are super quiet and closed off, and she is just like that. But for some reason she trusts us so much that she tells us everything. Everything that she has done, and that is happening on her life, and just trusts us so much as servants of God that we can help her with all of her problems and receive the blessings from God. It's so cool! After our first lesson with her, she told us she was moving to Beni which is not close to here, and we were sad because she's a baptism for sure, but tye next time we visited her she said that the move was canceled! 

This week we also got to see the wedding and baptism of the newly wedded family Mamani Ochoa. This family has been incredible. The way that they have trusted full-heartedly in the Lord and his miracles, and to seek that everything they needed, they received because their desires were so pure and just. To start the week they wanted to have biggish plans with their wedding and everything, but as time went on they realized the most important thing was to be baptized so they threw the other plans aside and got married at 11:00am so they could get baptized at 1:00pm. We went straight from the wedding place to the baptismal font and they were as happy as can be. The catholic lady that gave us the reference of this family accompanied us and after the wedding she came to us and said "is it okay if I invite his friends to the church to see the baptism? It's because they are all sinners and who knows, maybe we can get some more baptisms for you!"

It has been a transfer to remember for sure. So many experiences and trials, but my testimony has grown so much and I have grown as a disciple of Christ. Have true and just desires, and God will fulfill them when you put in the work.

  Hola hola a todos! This week we celebrated mothers day here in Bolivia. Mothers day is a way bigger deal and no one works, and no wants to talk to you which was an awesome day. It consisted of just walking around trying to make any kind of conversation. One guy asked if we even believe in mothers in our church. Nice one, I think he might have won that encounter  But this week was good! Our teaching pool has decreased and decreased slowly over the last couple weeks. A big point of focus has been to rebuild the teaching pool. We've been spending a lot of time finding news which is kinda what we've always been doing. I used to tener miedo to knock someone's door or talk to someone on the street in Utah in a language I spoke fluently, but now I have seen a huge transformation with the help of my loving Heavenly Father and I am not nervous for any of that in a language I'm still learning.   Hola hola a todos! I don't have a lot to write this week. We had Transfers on Friday and I got a new gringo companion! His name is Elder Diaz from Maryland and he's cool. We have the same amount of time here in Bolivia so we're going to be grinding the Spanish so that we can be a part of so much success in this great work! Something awesome before transfers happened with our family that lives in the house with the red door and red roof. I can't remember if I filled in some information on but basically that lady Virginia that we met and told us she wasn't a member ended up being a member. But! She has two nietos that live with her and we've been teaching them and they've loved it and are all ready to get baptized this Saturday. Their names are Nathaly and Johan. Nathaly just learned English by watching movies and reading books so sometimed we just talk to her in English while her little brother just sits there trying so hard to understand. It's so fun! ...

Missing in action

  What's up everyone, hope that everyone had a grand old 4th of July. We definitely had our little celebration for the country of the Restoration here, just minus the fireworks. This week though was pretty baller.  Saturday last week our first counselor had told us he had met an inactive member that was a returned missionary. We went with him to meet him and it was true. It was also true that he had an 11 year old kid who hadn't been baptized yet. Which is weird because his dad has his missionary plaque on display in his house as well as every pamphlet and missionary manual that you can imagine. The kid asked to be baptized the first time we met him, and now the family is coming back to church so that he doesn't go inactive after his baptism. That's why he hadn't been baptized yet. His dad was scared to have him baptized and never go back. We also met another inactive member that no body would have been able to find. We have a ward missionary that is incredible. Her...
