 What's good in the hood everyone? 


Bolivia continues to be so awesome with all the work and progress of our friends. This week flew by as if it were nothing because we have been so busy running from one visit to the next and sometimes teaching by the phone as we run from house to house. It's been very nice. It's like they say, a teaching missionary is a happy missionary. 

This week we've had some really good experiences. We had zone conference and interviews with President and as it's Easter, we really focused it all on Jesus Christ and who he was, and who he is. Everyday I teach about him and testify of him, but sometimes it unfortunately becomes like a routine. When we take the time to pause and see how he really is, read his teachings, discover his attributes, it leaves a very strong impression on us of the things we need to better. 

As it was Holy Week, every lesson we taught and testified of the love of our Heavenly Father for giving us His Son Jesus Christ. We had several powerful experiences as we saw peoples' ideas and minds change as they finally realized who they were and what they can become. The atonement is a wonderful tool that we have been given in this everyday battle that is "life" that sometimes gets hard. But Jesus Christ died for this battle. Take advantage of this opportunity. God lives and loves us, just like his Son Jesus Christ.

  Hola hola a todos! This week we celebrated mothers day here in Bolivia. Mothers day is a way bigger deal and no one works, and no wants to talk to you which was an awesome day. It consisted of just walking around trying to make any kind of conversation. One guy asked if we even believe in mothers in our church. Nice one, I think he might have won that encounter  But this week was good! Our teaching pool has decreased and decreased slowly over the last couple weeks. A big point of focus has been to rebuild the teaching pool. We've been spending a lot of time finding news which is kinda what we've always been doing. I used to tener miedo to knock someone's door or talk to someone on the street in Utah in a language I spoke fluently, but now I have seen a huge transformation with the help of my loving Heavenly Father and I am not nervous for any of that in a language I'm still learning.   Hola hola a todos! I don't have a lot to write this week. We had Transfers on Friday and I got a new gringo companion! His name is Elder Diaz from Maryland and he's cool. We have the same amount of time here in Bolivia so we're going to be grinding the Spanish so that we can be a part of so much success in this great work! Something awesome before transfers happened with our family that lives in the house with the red door and red roof. I can't remember if I filled in some information on but basically that lady Virginia that we met and told us she wasn't a member ended up being a member. But! She has two nietos that live with her and we've been teaching them and they've loved it and are all ready to get baptized this Saturday. Their names are Nathaly and Johan. Nathaly just learned English by watching movies and reading books so sometimed we just talk to her in English while her little brother just sits there trying so hard to understand. It's so fun! ...

Missing in action

  What's up everyone, hope that everyone had a grand old 4th of July. We definitely had our little celebration for the country of the Restoration here, just minus the fireworks. This week though was pretty baller.  Saturday last week our first counselor had told us he had met an inactive member that was a returned missionary. We went with him to meet him and it was true. It was also true that he had an 11 year old kid who hadn't been baptized yet. Which is weird because his dad has his missionary plaque on display in his house as well as every pamphlet and missionary manual that you can imagine. The kid asked to be baptized the first time we met him, and now the family is coming back to church so that he doesn't go inactive after his baptism. That's why he hadn't been baptized yet. His dad was scared to have him baptized and never go back. We also met another inactive member that no body would have been able to find. We have a ward missionary that is incredible. Her...
