Turn
Oh man, this week was a little tough. Usually we enjoy a ton of lessons everyday and running from one place to the other to be able to get them all done, but that isn't what we enjoyed this week. We had our schedule full of visits like we normally would, but for some weird reason everyone had problems and we would have days where we had one lesson, then the rest of the day we would just walk and knock doors and contact people and it was a little rough.
Despite all of that, this week we also found some ballers. One family especifically that I still can't believe. A reaaaaaaal long time ago, my first transfer in Potosí, we were searching for inactives from the member list and knocked this door looking for 2 members. We ended up talking to an active sister that led us there because it was her brother. We talked to the daughter of the inactive member and she showed interest so we started to teach her, but not very long in that her mom came down and kinda chastised her for talking to us, told her to close the door, then left a couple minutes after. As the mom left said sorry, but we don't believe in your church -- we're catholics. Which is unfortunately a normal response here. But since then, the mom has been going through a lot of hard things and she found a church post on Facebook and subscribed herself to receive missionary visits. Now she trusts that the gospel is what can bring the peace back into their home and unite her, her 3 kids, and eventually her husband. It was so cool to see how God prepates the hearts of people. I never would have gone back to that door after how she spoke to us, and now I can't wait to go back and keep helping them.
Repentance is real. Appreciate it and use it! When we repent, we change little by little into the person God needs us to be. Change.
