 Whats up everyone? How's everything been going?


This last week that we had was incredible. We started by just trying to visit a whole bunch of inactive members, but unfortunately we didn't get as much time to do that as we had originally planned because we just kept finding all these guys to teach.

Last Sunday we didn't know almost anyone at church and we saw this guy and felt like we should talk to him. He was a member, but we asked to visit him. He invited us over and presented us to his family. Turned out that his aunt is also a member, fairly inactive, and that he has 3 cousins that are baptismal age. The aunt was so happy to have us over and her kids were so happy to learn. We taught them twice and they cake to church on Sunday. After sacrament meeting one of then came up and said "Elders, what do I have to do to get baptized in this church?" As she started to tell us how she had felt, tears started flowing. So now they are on date for a couple weeks from now.

One night as we were heading home from a little town, we were headed up to get into one of the little trufis to take us home and this guy that's buying from a little store says "elderes buenas noches" we said what's up and decided to go talk to the guy. He told us that he was an inactive member for more than 30 years. He told us that he fell away when he got married because his wife wasn't from the church. This entire time he had told himself that if he ever saw missionaries in his little town, he would put then in his car and take them to his family and have the missionaries teach them so thay he cam return to church with his whole family. That's exactly what he did that night. He had us get in his car and took us to his house where we met his wife and 3 kids. Half of those guys also came to church on Sunday! We are super hyped for the Marzana family. 

We have been seeing a ton of miracles over here as we continue forward here in panamericana. Keep doing the little things to strengthen your faith.

  Hola hola a todos! This week we celebrated mothers day here in Bolivia. Mothers day is a way bigger deal and no one works, and no wants to talk to you which was an awesome day. It consisted of just walking around trying to make any kind of conversation. One guy asked if we even believe in mothers in our church. Nice one, I think he might have won that encounter  But this week was good! Our teaching pool has decreased and decreased slowly over the last couple weeks. A big point of focus has been to rebuild the teaching pool. We've been spending a lot of time finding news which is kinda what we've always been doing. I used to tener miedo to knock someone's door or talk to someone on the street in Utah in a language I spoke fluently, but now I have seen a huge transformation with the help of my loving Heavenly Father and I am not nervous for any of that in a language I'm still learning.   Hola hola a todos! I don't have a lot to write this week. We had Transfers on Friday and I got a new gringo companion! His name is Elder Diaz from Maryland and he's cool. We have the same amount of time here in Bolivia so we're going to be grinding the Spanish so that we can be a part of so much success in this great work! Something awesome before transfers happened with our family that lives in the house with the red door and red roof. I can't remember if I filled in some information on but basically that lady Virginia that we met and told us she wasn't a member ended up being a member. But! She has two nietos that live with her and we've been teaching them and they've loved it and are all ready to get baptized this Saturday. Their names are Nathaly and Johan. Nathaly just learned English by watching movies and reading books so sometimed we just talk to her in English while her little brother just sits there trying so hard to understand. It's so fun! ...

Missing in action

  What's up everyone, hope that everyone had a grand old 4th of July. We definitely had our little celebration for the country of the Restoration here, just minus the fireworks. This week though was pretty baller.  Saturday last week our first counselor had told us he had met an inactive member that was a returned missionary. We went with him to meet him and it was true. It was also true that he had an 11 year old kid who hadn't been baptized yet. Which is weird because his dad has his missionary plaque on display in his house as well as every pamphlet and missionary manual that you can imagine. The kid asked to be baptized the first time we met him, and now the family is coming back to church so that he doesn't go inactive after his baptism. That's why he hadn't been baptized yet.
